Terms of Service

1. Who can use Toplyne

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, or have a parent or guardian's consent and supervision. One account per person.

2. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant Toplyne a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, stream, and display your content solely to operate and promote the service. You promise you own or control all rights in what you upload, including samples, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

3. Collaborations

Toplyne introduces users to each other. We are not a party to collaborations made between users. Ownership, songwriting splits, master ownership, credits and payment are agreed between the collaborators. We strongly recommend signing a split sheet before releasing anything.

4. Marketplace and licences

Sellers set their own prices. Unless the listing says otherwise: a non-exclusive licence lets the buyer use the work in one commercial release; the seller keeps ownership and may sell further licences. An exclusive licence is sold once and the listing is then removed. Songwriting/publishing shares for toplines and beats remain with their writers unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Fees and payouts

We charge a platform commission on each sale (10% on the Free plan, 0% on Premium). Payments are processed and paid out by Stripe; sellers must complete Stripe onboarding and are responsible for their own taxes.

6. Rules

No stolen or uncleared content, spam, harassment, hate, fake accounts, or taking marketplace transactions off-platform to avoid fees. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Refunds

Digital goods are delivered instantly and are generally non-refundable, except where a file is defective or not as described, or where required by law.

8. Liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.
